Position Description
Technovative Applications is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering and is able to work well with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will support work on complex radar systems alongside a multi-disciplinary team.
Primary Manufacturing Engineer job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Documentation: develop work instructions from concept through sustaining activities
- Interface with design, process, operations and program management
- Production analysis on mechanical and electro-mechanical designs and manufacturing techniques and processes
- Assist production teams with meeting production goals through day to day production support and process improvements
- Proposal development activities such as developing basis of estimate (BOE)
- Work with suppliers to verify their manufacturing processes and products
- Make dispositions, as a member of material review board, of discrepant material – manufactured and purchased
Basic Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of development and production manufacturing experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- United States citizenship, the ability to apply for and obtain a security clearance, Secret level
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong problem solving capabilities, advanced computer skills, Green Belt training a plus.
- Production processes and specifications associated with mechanical production and manufacturing, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry environments
- SolidWorks experience, SolidWorks Composer a plus
- Designing or maintaining manufacturing processes and associated documentation.
- Product development and guiding mechanical assemblies through product development life cycle
- Bill of Material (BOM) maintenance, engineering change affectivity and product configuration management NO
- Ability to communicate with vendors and internal personnel
- Knowledge of metals and composite materials and associated finishes
- Knowledge of tooling and fixtures for medium to large structures
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical devices; such as actuation systems, coolant and power distribution systems, measurement devices (encoders, tilt sensors, etc)
- Knowledge of ISO-9001:2015 procedures
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree or equivalent experience
