The Phase 1 PTS radar was a technology demonstrator to validate the ability of
interferometry based projectile tracking systems to predict impact accuracy of less
than 5m CEP at a range in excess of 16km. The system became the foundation technology
for the Crusader gun system PTS and the Future Combat System Non-Line-Of-Sight (NLOS) Cannon.
